Backpacks & Messenger Bags

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Somehow I think if I post this special, I might actually stop procrastinating and order some backpacks for my kids.  Courtney will be starting Kindergarten and will need her very first real backpack (sniff, sniff, pout).  Dylan has gone through three years with his and is in need of a new one.

I don’t like beating the crowds for the nice bags at the stores and I’m also really big on quality, non-trendy backpacks.  For those reasons, I buy our backpacks online.

In case you are in the same boat, check out this special at eBags.com:

$10 Off Plus Free Shipping On Backpack & Messenger Orders Over $75 at eBags.com

Please choose your child’s backpack carefully.  Order a school bag, NOT a kid’s backpack.  A note from the eBags.com website…  “Kids’ backpacks are designed specifically for short-torsoed children, and are usually 16″ or under in length. Most are not meant for heavy loads of books or other gear, but are instead ideal for clothing, lunches and small accessories. “

Do you remember The Jetsons?  (Or am I that much older than you?)  Well, that quote pretty much sums up how I’ve been feeling lately.  That’s how I know my life it totally OUT of balance.   I’ve been pushing full force into one thing or another for days at a time and not slowing down.  There is no balance and it’s making me feel… well… yucky.

Camp Cleanup was a huge success!  Almost everything that we planned on getting done, got done.  My kids love their self-designed t-shirts, got a great first-hand experience at how much “hard work” this cleaning business is, and are still looking around for dust bunnies.  LOL!

I just got my first affiliate sale as a result of my working with Squidoo.  I’ve also been working on a brand new website.

My children are in Vacation Bible School at the moment.  I have a few hours of peace.  So, I’m getting off my PC, taking some me-time and heading to the tea room.  BYE!

I just read a great article on sales copy that I want to share with my WAHM readers.  The article stresses the importance of letting your readers get to know you by doing something as simple as adding your picture to your sales letter.  Read on…

Camp Cleanup: Boot Camp

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

FlyLady has started Camp GonnaWannaFLY.  My family is taking that concept and starting Camp Cleanup

Unlike the FlyLady’s concept of working in 15 minute intervals, our first week out of school is going to be boot camp!  We divided our home up into five areas that need to be cleaned, wrote each on a piece of paper, folded them and put them in a cup.  Each morning this week we are going to draw the surprise area from the cup and get to work.  We will be working as a family team, together in each area.  After our cleanup is done, we head out the door for a reward.  I’m thinking trips to the park and ice cream cones.

This evening, we will be working on creating our camp t-shirts.  You’ve gotta have camp t-shirts, right?
