What’s For Dinner? Weekly Meal Plans

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

How often do you get in a rut and not know what to make for dinner?  If you are like me, it is all too often.

Well, Food & Family magazine has a section called “Express Checkout” which usually has a weekly meal plan in it, complete with recipes and a grocery list.  I tried this out about six months ago and really enjoyed the ease of meal preparation and the food itself.  I found another weekly meal plan in a newer edition and have been cooking those meals this week.  (Get your free subscription by registering with KraftFoods.com.)

Being so pleased with having my weeknight recipes all figured out, I went to the website to see if they had more weekly meal plans on there.  They do!  The section is called “1 Bag 5 Dinners“.  The concept is that you get five nights worth of meals into one bag of groceries.  Totally affordable and easy!  I’m really liking it!

2008 Calendars

Friday, September 14th, 2007

NEW 2008 calendars are available!  Many of them start in the months of August/September, so you can order and start using them now.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Mom's Plan-It 2008 Magnetic Mount Wall Calendar

Mom's Family 2008 Wall Calendar

Mom's Ultimate Family Fridge 2008 Deluxe Wall CalendarMom’s Ultimate Family Fridge 2008 Deluxe Wall Calendar

I like to use different color pens on my calendars to represent the schedules for each family member.  One color for each family member, one color for a family event, one more color for anniversaries and birthdays.  Helps me keep it all straight and eliminates the need to write more information.  Makes for a prettier calendar too.  ;)

My Home Office

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

My friend Nicole blogged about her home office and asked her readers to share pictures of their offices.  Here’s mine:

There is a bookshelf and filing cabinet behind my chair and a small child’s table and chairs to the left of my desk under the window.  (The idea behind the child’s table was to keep my children occupied and with me while I work, but it never quite worked out that way.)

Do you remember The Jetsons?  (Or am I that much older than you?)  Well, that quote pretty much sums up how I’ve been feeling lately.  That’s how I know my life it totally OUT of balance.   I’ve been pushing full force into one thing or another for days at a time and not slowing down.  There is no balance and it’s making me feel… well… yucky.

Camp Cleanup was a huge success!  Almost everything that we planned on getting done, got done.  My kids love their self-designed t-shirts, got a great first-hand experience at how much “hard work” this cleaning business is, and are still looking around for dust bunnies.  LOL!

I just got my first affiliate sale as a result of my working with Squidoo.  I’ve also been working on a brand new website.

My children are in Vacation Bible School at the moment.  I have a few hours of peace.  So, I’m getting off my PC, taking some me-time and heading to the tea room.  BYE!
