I’ve been out browsing Mom blogs this morning while my little ones are still sleeping.  (Shhh!)  I ran across Baggage and Bug.  How adorable!  The blog design is adorable.  The content is adorable.  Baggage is a total stranger and I had to subscribe to her blog, because… it’s adorable!

What’s my point?

My blog is not adorable.  Not only is it not adorable, but it reads like I’ve been posting nothing but ads lately.  If it reads like that to you too, I’m sorry.  Actually, the posts are not all ads.  Some of this stuff is just plain recommendations for things that I have found helpful.  All I want to do is to be helpful.  (OK… That’s a lie.  A partial lie.  I need income too.  But I do want to be helpful!)

Can I be helpful and adorable too?  I don’t know.  I’m not sure I ever really fell into the “adorable” category.  Entertaining?  Yeah… I might be able to do that.  I’ll try.  Okay?

I just received my $10 Target gift card in the mail! 

No, it wasn’t sent as a gift or a contest prize.  I earned it through the MyPoints program.  By joining this program, you get points for shopping, reading emails, taking surveys and even playing games.  You can redeem the points for gift cards, air miles, donate to charities, etc.

You may have heard of it.  I just wanted to let you know that it is real and valid.  I have my $10 Target gift card to prove it! 

And I didn’t spend a penny to get it, either.  I got my points only by reading emails and clicking on the links in them.  It takes longer to accumulate points if that’s all you do, but it still works.
