The first step I had to take to be happier was to cut all negative people out of my life. This meant my best friend of over 20 years who was very judgemental. It meant my neighbor that I spent a lot of time with. It even meant less time with my parents because I had no idea how negative they were until things started coming out of my mouth that they have always said.

Then each day I focused on at least 5 good things that happened that day. There are always negative things. We are human and surrounded by humans, life will never be perfect. But we have to decide if we want to dwell on the things we can't change or focus on the incredible blessings we have everyday.

Good luck and email me if you need any help here and there. It's not always easy, but it does make life more enjoyable.
